THE HISTORY OF MAGNETS

Magnets have been recorded in China documents as far back as 2000BC. They used lodestone for the treatment of diseases. The Greeks called magnets lapus-virvas and it was found in the Southern fields. The Romans used electric eels and fish to treat arthritis and gout among other diseases.

It has been recorded the in Medieval times between 1150 and 1160 they put studs into the walls around the fort. This pulled any armed warrior into the wall and made him unable to attack.
